Meet Deived
Deived Motherfungerz is a musician born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico in 1986. He grew up with a passion for sports, particularly basketball and tae kwon do, as well as music. He spent a lot of time with his family, including his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Despite his parents separating when he was young, he remained close to both of them until his father passed away when Deived was 15. At 14, he began studying music theory and specializing in bass guitar at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. His parents introduced him to various music genres, including English and Spanish pop rock, which inspired him to explore different bands, such as Blink 182, the Killers, Mana, and Rush.
After his father's death, Deived was inspired to pursue his passions in life and support his family in any way he could. He bought his father's favorite bass guitar, a Fender Jazz Bass, in his memory. Deived has worked hard since he was 16 years old, juggling a cashier job at a supermarket and a candy shop, while also playing in bands like Red Tiger and La Manzana de Adan. He continues to make music and perform regularly, even while studying computer science at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
